Can pellet vent piping be cut shorter to fit?

Pellet vent piping can not be cut to fit a setup. This is because it is a dual wall pipe and most likely has a twist-lock mechanism that will not work if cut, causing smoke to leak out. The intake pipe could be cut because it is single wall.

NOTE: We offer adjustable dual wall pipe as the best option since cutting the pipe will not work.
