Problem
The stove has a complete power loss condition.
Symptoms may include:
- Blank display
- No response from the control panel
- No startup activity
- No indicator lights
- No audible response when buttons are pressed
Step 1 – Verify Incoming Power
Confirm:
- Stove is plugged in securely
- Wall outlet has power
- Circuit breaker has not tripped
- Power strip (if used) is functioning
Test the outlet with another device if needed.
Step 2 – Inspect the Fuse
Disconnect power before servicing.
Locate and inspect the fuse:
Check for:
- Blown fuse element
- Burn marks
- Loose fuse fitment
Replace if necessary using the proper specification.
Step 3 – Inspect Electronic Connections
Verify all electrical connections are secure.
Inspect:
- Main power harness
- Control board connections
- Switch block wiring
- Internal connectors
Look for:
- Loose terminals
- Burned connectors
- Heat damage
- Separated contacts
Advanced Testing – Toggle Switch Bypass Test
Advanced diagnostic procedure
Only perform this step if previous checks do not restore power.
Procedure
- Unplug the stove.
- Remove the inside cover from the switch block.
- Expose the internal connections.
- Remove the connecting metal filaments.
- Connect wire spade connectors directly to the appropriate terminals.
Wire mapping:
| Wire | Connection |
|---|---|
| Yellow striped | Green |
| Blue/white | Blue |
| Red | Red |
This temporarily bypasses the toggle switch while retaining fuse protection.
If power returns after bypassing, the switch assembly may be faulty.
Important: Restore normal wiring after testing.
Possible Cause
A common cause of total power loss is failure within the toggle switch assembly.
Over time, internal contacts may heat, separate, or lose continuity, preventing power from reaching the control system.
