Question:  What Burn Pot Will Fit My Pellet Stove(Steel or Cast Iron)?

Answer:  Unfortunately, the steel and cast iron burn pots are not interchangeable meaning if your stove currently has a cast iron burn pot, it only takes the cast iron burn pot and vice versa. If you are not sure if your stove has a cast or steel burn pot, typically stoves bought before 2018 have the steel burn pot and any stove after 2018 have the cast burn pot.  There are exceptions however.

Cast is going to be much heavier than the steel pot.  If you can flick the pot and hear a hollow "tang" sound, it is usually steel.  The lip of the cast pots are about 1/4" thick and weigh 3-5lbs.
