Question: What piping kit do I need? What comes with the pipe kit? Do I need 3 inch or 4 inch pipe? Does the pipe kit come with everything I need?
Answer: For our free-standing stove models, you will need some way to vent exhaust outside, usually directly through an exterior wall. On our site, we offer DuraVent pellet vent kits with or without a short vertical rise.
We also carry a pipe kit specifically for chimney insert applications.
The HP22i chimney liner kits come with the clean out tee, 20-30ft of flexible pipe, a chimney boot plate, and a vertical exhaust cap.
The option for a vertical rise (recommended) comes with an appliance adapter, a clean out tee, four 12" sections of pipe, a wall thimble, and a horizontal cap to end the exhaust line. The horizontal kit comes with an appliance adapter, a single 24" section of pipe, a wall thimble, and horizontal exhaust cap.
You will need the 4" kit and usually a fresh air intake, if you are installing at or above 5000ft in elevation, installing in a manufactured home, or exceeding the recommended equivalent vent length calculations (EVL) found on pg. 13 of our online manuals: https://comfortbilt.net/pages/stove-manuals
