Question: Can Comfortbilt pellet stove be connected to an external thermostat? How do I control the temperature of the room?
Answer: Our stoves have a built in temperature sensor that can read the temperature of the room. While in the “Temperature” mode, the stove will automatically adjust the level of the stove to satisfy your desired temperature. You can also activate the ECO option to allow the stove to shut down the fire when it gets up to the desired temperature, and then automatically reignite when the temperature drops.
You can also install a wired wall thermostat and run the stove in the Thstat mode to perform the same on/off cycling as ECO, but controlled by the remote thermostat instead of the stove's internal temperature probe.

*Please note that any mode that causes rapid on/off cycling of the stove (such as ECO and Thstat) will put more strain on the steel igniters, causing them to wear out and fail much quicker than other modes.
