What does SS mean? What is the difference?

Question: What does the SS on some pellet stoves mean?  Difference between HP22 vs. HP22-ss for example.

Answer:  The SS descriptor just signifies that the stove has a stainless steel trimming around the window glass.  There are no operational differences between the SS and standard models other than aesthetics.  The steel trim has a brushed texture and is more muted than chrome or polished metals.
