Question: What does the SS on some pellet stoves mean? Difference between HP22 vs. HP22-ss for example.
Answer: The SS descriptor just signifies that the stove has a stainless steel trimming around the window glass. There are no operational differences between the SS and standard models other than aesthetics. The steel trim has a brushed texture and is more muted than chrome or polished metals.
To see an example of the SS trim, look at the 2nd picture in the product page: https://comfortbilt.net/collections/hp22-series/products/comfortbilt-hp22-ss-pellet-stove-black
