Question: Do Comfortbilt pellet stoves require floor protection? Does it need to sit on a hearth pad?
Answer: A hearth pad is not always necessary. As long as the stove sits on a noncombustible surface that meets the front and side clearances, this will satisfy the floor protection requirements. You can find all of the floor protection requirements on pg. 9 of the online Operator's Manuals, found here: https://comfortbilt.net/pages/stove-manuals
A hearth pad is an easy and convenient way to satisfy floor protection requirements however. https://www.comfortbilt.net/hearth-pads/
